About KARE
KARE was started in 1967 by parents and friends of children with an intellectual disability. They wanted the children to be able to live at home and go to a local school.
We still want to help people with an intellectual disability to live a good life in their local community.
We always want to improve how we do things. We work with the people who use our services, their families, and other important groups like the Health Service Executive. We write an Annual Report each year to tell people how we have done in the past year.
Our Vision - People of all abilities are supported in their right to have real opportunities and choice to live their best life.
Our Mission - We work in partnership to support people with disabilities and their families to create a present and future that fulfils their personal potential
