Promoting Inclusion for People with Intellectual Disabilities
About Kare
Kare delivers a wide range of community-based supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in an innovative and progressive way. Our goal is to support them and their families to create a present and future that fulfils their personal potential.
Founded in 1967 by a group of parents and friends of children with intellectual disabilities, Kare’s mission was to ensure that children with disabilities could live at home with their family and be educated locally.
Over the years since, our organisation has expanded the supports we offer to meet increased demand and changing needs. Today, we provide a range of services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, including day, residential, employment, clinical and short breaks (respite) services.
