We have just launched our fundraising challenge, Km for Kare, which will run throughout May.
Km for Kare asks people to move 100km during the month of May, by walking, running, rolling or whatever means of exercise suits your abilities. It aims to empower individuals of all abilities to embrace personal fitness challenges while supporting our mission of promoting inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.
Registration for Km for Kare is free and all participants will have a personal fundraising page automatically created for them to track their progress and donations. The challenge is also open to teams, groups and corporate partners, with prizes of smart watches for the most kilometres covered and most funds raised by an individual. All money raised will directly support Kare's efforts to provide essential services and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling lives of choice.
Deirdre Murphy, Kare CEO, said: "We are delighted to be running our Kilometres for Kare campaign again this year and look forward to it being even bigger and better. As the evenings get brighter and longer, it's the perfect opportunity to take on a new challenge while also raising awareness and funds for Kare and supporting our mission."
