This policy explains how your personal data or information will be handled by Kare: Promoting Inclusion for People with Intellectual Disabilities (Kare). It outlines how and why your personal data will be collected and processed by Kare and/or on our behalf by third-party service providers.

The Kare website uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our network of sites, whether to provide interactive or personalised elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

How do we store, use, share and disclose the information we collect?

Our website is hosted on the Wix platform. Your data may be stored in Wix’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

In some instances, we may use third-party services to host or process data on our behalf. These third-party service providers may collect and store your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies and practices.

We make every effort to carefully select partners that uphold the same level of security and confidentiality that we do, however we encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party sites or services to understand how they handle your personal information. Kare is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these external websites or services.

How do we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you to respond to a query, provide information, acknowledge or respond to a form submission, notify you about an event, prize etc, or as otherwise necessary to operate our organisation and adhere to this policy. For these purposes we may contact you via email, phone call, text message or postal mail.

How long do we retain your data?

We hold personal data for a range of time periods, these are guided by our statutory requirements for certain data (e.g. financial records, employment records or health and safety records), our contractual obligations and our business and risk management requirements.
